If Sajag isn't selling it, the closest location to get it is Toxic Caves near Klamath, where you rescue Smiley The Traper. But before you get there you'll need rubber boots or bad things will happen. :) I believe you can get it in The Den as well, but I wouldn't bet my arm for it.

You get 2 sets of boots in Klamath, one of them getting ruined fast if YOU wear them (last time I gave those to Sulik by luck, and it lasted a long time).
There's a 3rd pair in the Toxic Caves.

Btw, you don't rly need Rad Away, for a very large amount there will be no consequences.

PS: I always make myself irradiated before Vault City by stepping into goo. TheAnti-Horrigan Secret Weapon worth that.

that's kind of a late now. I allready went into it without any boots, I'm guessing they're supposed to protect me from the ground there... but I managed to sneak through the geckos just escape the cave with smiley and low hp and could get rid of the radiation later.

That's nice. You should return to Toxic Caves later to open the elevator (you need to repair the generator first and use electronic lockpick on the door). You can find good loot underground.

You likely grew the Secret Weapon Against Horrigan. What'll prevent you gaining citizenship to Vault City without countermeasures. Just telling, so you don't get surprised.
I believe Smiley (the bald dude standing near the power generator) has the green boots in his inventory, so steal them if you're going to return to that place, later on. Alternatively, return when you obtain a Power Armor (you'll need a good armor to explore the other floor, anyway, might as well wear the Power Armor, which will protect your body from the irradiated liquid).

Minor spoiler:

There's a way of curing the symptoms of radiation exposure, without having to use Rad Away(s), or requesting help from a doctor. And it's free, whenever you need it. It's a quest reward.

I really like discovering things for myself but just this last time, could you simply just tell me where the quest is?
btw how the heck am I supposed to deal with companians that block me way out? äIn this case I'm at madoc, at farrels house next to his safe and vic just trapped next to it, I can't move anywhere at all and vic won't either. allready had problems like this in the first game but they usually ended up moving after while but now he's just standing there and waiting for me to move.

Hold the left mouse button on Vic and choose to push him. :)

Excellent, I had writen a lot of stuff, and then the forum decided to be buggy (the post was not added to the thread, for some stupid reason).

You'll have to go to San Francisco. You know The Den's location, right?
Taking The Den as reference, San Francisco is located 21 squares below it (in the world map).
After entering Chinatown, go to the only building that has black walls and a grey door. You can see a screenshot, in the wiki.
There will be man standing near the entrance, he is the quest giver.

You use the push command, to get companions and other NPCs (with some exceptions) out of your way.

If you enable pelicano's mod, you can simply press "X", and all your followers will run away immediately. This page has more details about it.

That's a gameplay override. :) Everyone should play their games as they want, but taking that kind of shortcut can really spoil the game. All this considering that he'll get to San Francisco in one piece of course. :)

That's not my concern (no ill intent, it's just not my business), if that subtracts to his enjoyment with the game, he shouldn't have replied, to begin with. It is his call, if he wants to start the quest already.

And you can get to any town/base on the mainlaind, it's not a herculean task. The game allows you to save continuously, while you're treading, through the different maps (pause the travel in the world map, click the green icon, and do a quick save).
Nobody is forcing you to encounter Deathclaw packs and other minions, before reaching your destination. Deathclaw encounters almost always ensure your demise, in the early game. Unlike the FO4 Deathclaws, they're tough SOBs.

Rather than spending a lot of points in outdoorsman skill, which will become kinda obsolete, right after he gets a Chryslus Highwayman.

Neither mine. :) I'm only pointing that this move can spoil the gameplay, as it wasn't intended that the player reaches San Francisco at this phase of the game.

You can save on every occasion and load if even a little failure occurs, but is it really fun? Is this how the games should be played? I do reload on bigger failures, but overusing the system destroys fun my opinion. High level monsters were placed in this area for a reason...

That's up to the player, some like it, others don't.
There's no right or wrong, about playing the way you prefer! Don't let people dictate, enjoy your hobby.
"To hell" with what was intended, by the developers, I say, if I'm incorrectly enjoying the game.

Some nice speedruns were made, thanks to players following unusual paths the protagonist was not intended to use, using glitches, exploits, etc. And they've a great time, it's how they want to experience the game.

Sometimes I do the quick save strategy, when I want to do the Zeta scan in San Fran, and my character is not OP. To avoid Centaurs, Deathclaws, and other minions, from finding me and tearing me to tiny pieces.

It's not a common thing, as I usually already got the car, by the time I decide to do a trip to San Francisco.

If someone is taking pleasure from beating the game in a few minutes, I've got nothing against it. He bought the game, so he can play it like he wants to. Games are supposed to bring joy and if it means overriding some gameplay mechanics, then why not? :) But it still doesn't mean that someone shouldn't give a warning about possible gameplay consequences of certain behavior in the game world.

It's hard to find a player who never used save and load tactics sometimes. There are harder moments in game and if someone insists on pursuing the best possible outcome, he usually ends with something like this. I've found however that limiting this method brings me more fun. :)
