Running it on windows 7 x64. I don't have that annoying rainbow effect people seem to get, but the mouse is weird. It seems to have a problem moving vertically or on a diagonal. I can't figure this out. I've installed the high resolution patch, but the problem persists. I've looked on google and this board, can't seem to find a solution. Any ideas?

Don't remember reading about mouse problem but you could try sfall. It has some mouse sensitivity settings and allows browsing inventory using mouse scroll wheel among multitude of other settings and it also fixes number of game engine bugs. Note that both killap's patch and restoration project come with it so if you have either installed you already have it. Sfall settings can be modified in ddraw.ini file.

Actually, I've already applied killap's patch. Nothing seems to fix it :/

Did you try the settings in ddraw.ini? If mouse sensitivity does not help, then maybe setting graphics to dx9 fullscreen. You could also try setting COLOUR_BITS to 16 in f2_res.ini.

Btw, is mouse sluggish everywhere or is it fine while some menus are open? Also what mouse do you have and do you use generic windows drivers for it or have you installed manufacturers drivers for it? Here is one solution if you have logitech mouse and drivers.

That post about the logitech mouse fixed it. Thanks! Don't know how I missed that one.
