It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

StaticSpine: Hey everyone! I've written to the Support.

Here's the answer:
"The Fallout 2 build was updated and everyone should have music now."
The letter is from January 11

korell: Nice one. Can someone check for confirmation though? As the installer version is still 2.0.0.
Hi we did upload a new version of Fallout 2's installer. Check the entire version number you have locally as we have version setup_fallout2_2.0.0.12.exe.

This version solves the problem with music not playing. No more tweaking anything as it it's all ready to go :D .

maciek: Thanks for the update, but as it has been noticed by others earlier, the exact version is not listed on the "My Games" page. It still says just 2.0.0. Because of this:
1) you don't get the update notification (at least I didn't)
2) you don't see which version it is before you start downloading
About point number 2:

If you turn off the GOG Downloader mode and click on a link to download the game, the window that pops up shows the full file name before you begin downloading the game, unless you have your browser set to save everything without asking for your input. It's not the most elegant solution, I'll admit, but it does work :D.

maciek: Thank you, you just saved one second of my time I'd otherwise waste on looking for the cancel button ;D
But seriously, should I conclude that this strange deviation from the very good naming and notification strategy GOG introduced recently is accepted and it can happen again that another game is updated and nobody knows about it?

korell: I don't think anyone is getting update notifications at the moment, due to GOG gradually changing the version 1.0 installers to version 2.0 installers. I've not had an update notification in quite a good many weeks now.

maciek: This week I received notifications about Alpha Centauri and even Eador Genesis today, but those were additions not replacements if that matters...
I aim to please :D

" This week I received notifications about Alpha Centauri and even Eador Genesis today, but those were additions not replacements if that matters..."

That's correct with the exception of Alpha Centauri as that was an issue that had to deal with the official 2.0 SMAX patch that was resolved.
