So I've been playing Fallout 2 for a while and I've been enjoying it immensely. However, there are a few issues that have been bothering me for a while:
1. When running FO2, all other sounds (ie. from background windows and so forth) seem to be disabled. This did not happen with FO1 (ie. I can still hear MSN alerts and so forth). Is this a setting problem within FO2?
2. I get occasional Crash-To-Desktops after some sound playback (particularly gunfire during combat). I'm not sure why this is happening...? It isn't consistent, so I wonder if it's just an accumulated error?

I am having the same issue, without the CTD. Has anyone figured out what is going on with this?
