It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

alyasa: Hi guise... :) Sorry, but link seems to be dead... Anywhere else I can pick this up? Thanks...

Should still be alive.. or at least it is at the moment. If there was any downtime my ISP didn't notify me. :P
Hey. Tried using this with no success at all (though I am perfectly convinced it's most likely due to my own idiocy) using FO2 as downloaded from GOG.com with no other additions whatsoever. Both the Fallout2.exe and the save game folder claim to not have any saved games present. Anything you can offer to help me on this?
(Looks nice, btw, from the screenshots)

Hi FritzKreig,
Can you get to the point where you can click the "Report Problem" button? If not, where are your save games and fallout2.exe located? And are you running Vista, XP, or 7?

Thanks! Hope we can get it working for you.
Sent an error report. In other news, all my save games mysteriously vanished shortly after my wife installed Sims 3. No idea why. The error report was sent based on a save using one of the premade characters right out the door just to diagnose the problem, and an attempt to load the Fallout2.exe file through the editor. I've also tried going to the SAVE.dat file directly with no effect.
OK, this is messed up. I got the editor to work properly by changing the access permissions on the file in question. Doing this, however, also restored my previously lost saves. Now the game will only load the old saves (does not acknowledge the existence of the new game), while the editor will only recognize the new save. Man, I have two parallel realities existing simultaneously in my Fallout 2 files. ;)
New edit: uninstalled and reinstalled FO2, started a new game. Editor won't recognize the save from the .exe file again.

Hi Dichune,
Wow, a lot of these cropping up lately!
Yes, the setup you described should work. Can you follow the same process as I asked FritzKreig to follow?
And speaking of FritzKreig, your error report did not arrive as expected. Perhaps the error feature won't work either when whatever issue is happening here is active. Did you determine that the underlying problem was a file permissions issue?
My primary gaming machine's hard drive failed about a month ago, taking my FO2 and test environment for F2SGE with it - but luckily I use an offsite source control so I can continue where I left off. I will see if I can duplicate the problem with the setup each of you describe, and I'll post again here if/when I have results.
Finally, what OS are you both running? XP? Vista? 7?
eh...link is dead. any chance can send it to pheliosstar at hotmail dot com ?

http://web.base10.org/content/fallout2-save-game-editor
i downloaded the one on the very bottom of the list at the bottom
Tried running the program, but it can't find any save game slots.

Running Win7 64bit.
Tried pointing the directory to where the save data is: c:users *<username>*AppData * Local * VirtualStore * programfiles86 *Gog.com * fallout 2
Hi guys, not sure how many people still use this forum or look at this here post. But I've had issues using the Fallout 2 Save Game Editor known as Falche2. I was finding it very awkward to try and import my save game files into it. I was following every step that I had read on the internet except one very easy method, instead of having this as the Path:

C:\GOG Games\Fallout 2\data

I changed it to simple

C:\GOG Games\Fallout 2

And my save game file game up. However, you do need to put this pathway in every time you load up Falche2.

If anyone is still reading this thread, I hope it helps you.

PS I'm using Windows 7

I had the same trouble with falche2 (running Win8), ended up using Fallout 2 Savegame Editor (F2se) and this worked fine.
Hope this helps.
