You probably figured this out already, but Evoland does not seem to work with Xbox One controllers. At least, not with mine.

it does not work with mine either. think it have something to do with the peculiar way the xbox one controllers is built. they are all wireless, even those marketed as wired. it does not work with playstation 4 controllers either, that generates a gamepad error.

After minutes of search (the Steam community is much larger...) , the ONLY way to play this game is to use an Xbox 360 controller (wired or wireless).
IT DOESN'T work at all with an xbox one controller. :-(
I'm pretty pissed.. i bought Evoland 2 , liked it and then I bought the first episode.
Why the developer can't anything and fix this problem ??
I mean THEY found a solution for Evoland 2.... why NO SUPPORT at all for this older game ??

One solution could be a newer version called Evoland: Legendary Edition. It's basically both Evoland 1 & 2 combined into a single game. It is available on Steam, but not on GOG.
