This is to resolve the CD Key Issue when playing with Direct Connect, Its only been tested with Empire Earth - The Art of Conquest

Go to "C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Empire Earth Gold Edition\Empire Earth - The Art of Conquest"

Open WONLobby.cfg with Notepad

Find the line that says "CDKeyCheck: true"

Change it to "CDKeyCheck: false"


Tested to work on to clients that had the CDKey conflict and changed that and it worked

Does direct connect work for you without using the saveEE program? I can get a friend in the lobby, but we can't launch.

We found this WONlobby CD-key fix as well but it still doesnt work for us 'cause when started via directconnect it says that the game version does not match (both from gog). Though that may be some problem with EE and my PC as the addon does not work at all for me.

Thanks, this worked when playing with my friends over Hamachi and using Direct Connect when establishing to your friends game. You also have to choose Hamachi as your ethernet device under Options tab.

You don't need hamachi for Direct Connect. You need hamachi for LAN.

Direct connect require the ports 33334-33336 tcp/udp forwarded (Guides say a part only TCP, and a part only UDP. Tho my expierence is that if you forward them all at once, hosting will work.)
