After playing this game a lot years ago I was happy to see it on GOG and bought it today. However, playing through the tutorial again, I appear to be experiencing a strange bug. After setting up the traderoute, I'm supposed to import jade to process. I've imported up to 20 raw jade in the tradestation, even transported it to a warehouse, but noone is bringing to the workshop. My jade workshops remain idle. They keep saying they need raw jade to get work done, even though it's all there. They are well connected by roads, very close together even.

I tried removing and relocating the workshops, the tradestations and the warehouses. Restarted the game, loaded an older save, but to no avail.

Could this a bug?
I've installed the widescreen patch somewhere during this game, could that have something to do with it?
Is there anything else I can try before starting the tutorial all over again?

I played with the widescreen patch and didn't experience that so that's not the problem.

This perplexes me. I'm too tired to really ponder it now but I'll give it some more thought tomorrow.

How is your population? Does the warehouse have it's max number of workers? That would kill me a lot. I forget the max number but at times if it was even just two or three below that it would slow or even stop transport.

Also make sure you don't have the warehouse set to 'hold' the jade.

As tinyE suggested, how is your employment situation? Is every relevant building fully-staffed? Then, click on your Distribution tab on the right to see if "Jade" is highlighted. If it is, then it's being stockpiled and won't be taken to the Jade Carvers' Studios. If all else fails, try to attach a screenshot if you can.

Okay, this is embarrassing...

Turns out I was indeed stockpiling it. I must've accidentally clicked it in the distribution tab earlier in the game, didn't even cross my mind to check it. I guess I've gone either rusty or stupid over the years...

Well, it's solved. Thanks for the help, both of you!
