I was really looking forward to this, but it seems things are working against me here.

When I start the game, it refuses to run fullscreen. It puts it in a window no matter what, even if I Alt+Enter. Screen goes black very briefly but then it cuts back to the desktop with a window. I have tried using the "Graphic Mode Setup" exe but that makes no difference. Running in a window at the resolution I'm running my desktop at is a bit like trying to play snooker with a scottish caber...

I can run other dosbox games fullscreen just fine, including ones I've bought from GoG, so this is new.

Have you tried to manually run it from dosbox?

I thought the game ran through DOSBox by default? Do you mean configuring a new DOSBox box to run the game through?
Yeah I would be surprised if that worked because GOG's version already runs though dosbox. The only reason I think it might work is because if you run dosbox yourself you can alt+enter and make dosbox fullscreen, and then run earthworm jim. I am hoping that it will then stay fullscreen.
