Hello,
I am considering buiyng Eador: Masters of the Broken World. The reviews say that the game had many bugs when it was released. Now I see posts that say the game still contains bugs and those that say the game is playable.
I would like to ask, does the game still has game breaking bugs, such as crashing to desktop?
Yes, the beta is always to be soon finished. Too much vodka for the devs.

Currently there was a recent patch released just in the last couple days that has apparently made it impossible to load your games. This is why it is considered not playable just now.

That being said Genesis is so many times better that I uninstalled and deleted Masters before this even happened. There was no logical reason, other than to suck more $$$ from us that they made Masters. IMHO the only thing they added that was in anyway better was the save function. Genesis locked you into Iron Man mode except for a 1 turn do over, and even this was easy enough to work around.
Have not personally experienced any crashes or freezes in game for quite some time.
Running on 64-bit Win7.

Save you can't reload a game. that's not a bug but an hardcore ironman feature?

Actually it's more than an Ironman from what I understand of the term.

You see in Genesis you could stop playing and exit the game and then continue on from where you left off. The only thing you couldn't do was go back more than 1 turn as it autosaves each time you hit end turn.

This forces you into no reloading and going as far as you can in one sitting only.
I know. In Genesis you could reload a game: the one when you quit, and the autosave past turn (and that's bad for the highscore).

The game still suffers from major game braking bugs. Many people like me get Crash to Desktop (invalid pointer) and many more. There are many bugs that affect the gameplay as well.
The issue is that i and many people bought the game a long time ago and we still cannot play the game.I don't trust the devs to ever fix it.The only reason they issues the last patch was to sell the dlc...go figgure.
So it is a buyers beware! I would recommend to "ehmm" get a "demo" version installed in your pc and see for yourself that the game is running correctly on your machine.Note, there is no demo version of obvious reasons, have you ever seen a demo version of a seriously flawed, buggy game? I don;t think so..

Yup, maybe the bugs are finally crafted to sell DLCs. Russian devs are now choosen by a vodka drinking contest.
