gscotti: I wouldn't even mind downloading the .ZIP of the patch and applying it myself - but there doesn't seem to be a download location that I know of, for this particular patch.
I used to manually download patches from

I don't see 1.5.6 there but 1.6.0 is.

Since a couple of days, when I try to start MotBW, I am offered to update to 1.6.2, and then the update fails. Am I the only one, or does this happen with others also?


I tried just now and it failed again. It downloads the 1.6.2.zip file successfully, then it tries this:

Copying files...
Error in downloaded data.

Well, I guess it was the Gods of GOG angry at me for manually updating the game :(
I removed the game and re-installed it using the latest installer. It's OK for now.


EDIT: nope, it's trying to update (to 1.6.2, I presume) and it's failing, but now it's not even trying to download anything.

Hello. I bought this game at Humble Bundle. I downloaded/extracted DRM free version which I'd assume is similar to GOG. It ran fine. I have same problem when it tries updating to latest patch 1.6.2.

Copying files...
Error in downloaded data.
So I downloaded the patch you linked, but it seems to be linked to steam version. It even has steam.api file in folder. It goes into steam but then closes I assume because I don't have the game in steam library (havn't activated humble version on steam yet).
Is there a solution?

Or do I just need to activate on steam and use steam (I already have steam account, just wanted to try drm free version).

I'm not sure why the self updater is not working.

Yes sir, thank you very much - I can attest that the I could apply your patch without problems. BUT... every time I start the game, I get the message that it's out of date and I should update it. And when I try, it fails and I have to restart the game and actually answer "No" to that dialog box.
