It appears that nothing will be done to solve the problems we have...
Since DK2 doesn't work on my Win 7 machine I don't think it should count as part of GOG's 6,000,000 downloads.

Just sayin :P

MisterFugazi: I'll just say that if I had it to do over again I would not have bought this title from GOG. Despite every fix suggested by the community it is simply unplayable on my Win 7 machine. The response from GOG is like the sound of crickets chirping.
Have you opened a support ticket with GOG? If so, what was their response?
Mine too crashes randomly on saving. w7 64.

Is this true GOG? Can anyone form this site staff tell us what's the status on the stability fix for the game or are we left alone? Are you GOG just waiting for this problem to dissolve it self over time as people get less interested in it and just stop spamming you with support issues?
It would be very nice if someone competent (eg. Firek) would update us on how the update process is going, even if it's paused currently for some reasons. Any reply from staff is welcome :)

Firek: snip
I second a call from GOG staff on a status update for this. Looks like this thread was started on August 26th and here we are October 19th. With the holiday season coming around the corner, it would be nice to have these issues fixed so folks can jump on board.
Opening a ticket has just been met with referral to this thread. I'm of the same mind that if a game has a set of compatibilities listed with it at launch then it should be tested for said compatibilities. Without going any further off topic hopefully someone at GOG has new regarding this.
This game is what bought me to gog in the first place

I don't feel it is right for people to feel rediculed for expecting to be able to play the game for 30 minutes without a crash to desktop

I am a big retro-buff and I love what GOG is doing with re-releasing our old favourites but damn what a disapointing first purchase

Mine keeps crashing randomly, running on Windows 7/64, everything up to date, as admin etc. Disappointing first purchase! Would like GOG to pop in here and help us out.
I wanted to sign up for gog just to get a good copy of this game that works with windows 7. I read that EA signed a deal with gog to update some of bullfrog's older games to work on modern systems. Imagine my dissapointment when I come here just to find out it still doesn't work for windows 7..
I am able to play it with my original CD without crashes but with horrible resolution and without any kind of 3d acceleration. the main menu is slow and choppy but I played all the way through campaign mode without a single crash. I would purchase this title from here if they can get it working 100%.
It would be even nicer if EA would get off there A$$ and bring back the dungeon keeper Series.
#OccupyDK2Thread? :P
Still no news? The Win7 problems I've been reading about are the only reason I have not yet bought this game.

Same here. I'm not going to request support for a game I don't own, and I'm not going to buy the game until support confirms some fixes.
For your information:

I have written to support about this and got the following response:
Hello,

I've just check that issue with our tech team, and I can assure you that the work is still in progress, however because this game is really hard to fix it will took more time - I'm talking here about couple of months of work at least. But let me assure you once more that we are not trying to sit it out and doing everything we can to make that game work properly as soon as possible.

I asked for permission to post this on the forums and got this response.
Hello,

All we can promise that we are working on it and that we haven't abandoned that game. We cannot guarantee any deadlines. So you are free to post those information but only with information that I have wrote now.
