Hi guys!

Please check your games shelf for an update to Dungeon Keeper 2. We just released a Hardware Acceleration Fix for you all to download. We hope it works well and we appreciate y'all's patience in this matter!

Enjoy the game and please let us know if there any problems or questions! :D
I love you guys!

It took you some time, but you finally did it. LOVE
So far, so good set everything to max and was able to finish level 1 and 2 with no crashes or weird issues what so ever, normally the game crashes after 5 minutes with hardware acceleration and max res. pre-fix
So was nGlide or some other wrapper used, if I may ask? :) Nothing wrong with that, I'm just curious.
This is really great news. Thanks a lot, GOG. :-)
I suppose this means I should consider replacing my buggy CD version with a nice GOG version. Never did finish the game due to all the crashes.

Thats exactly what I just did....replacing my boxed copy which did have some stability problems...although I did find a post on a registry change that seemed to solve the problem. I still could not run the nicer resolutions and had to make some graphic sacrifices to run on my ATI. Hoping this new patch will do the trick! Thanks gog!
This fix actually completely breaks the game for me. Got a crash on startup after I installed it, so I completely reinstalled the game and patch afterwards. Got a black screen instead. Alt-tabbing out and back in gives me one frame at a time. Software mode still works after another complete reinstall.

Win 7 64-bit, 2.2 Ghz i3, Intel HD 3000, 4GB RAM

Has anyone got this patch to work for them? I wonder if it's due to that integrated graphics chip yet again.

weird, I tried it on a old laptop I have with a intel GMA X4500MHD intergrated chip and it gave me no issues on that outside of a white border poping up at the startup screen with the game's version number, you know the one that pops up before the bullfrog logo and the opening cinema
Overall great job guys, immediatly bought DK1and 2 even though I own them on the disks. I have played the first 3 levels of DK 2 with no crashes for the first time ever, however at the score screen it does not register that I have found the secret items even when I have ( not a big deal).
I've played 5 levels now without any crashing or slowdowns. Seems to be working. Now this is what makes me love GOG.

Although, is it just me, or does it seem to be running 800x600 only, even though I picked 1024x768 in the options?

At what point? The main menu uses a fixed 640x480 resolution, so you wont see a change there. In game there should be a very noticeable difference between 800x600 and 1024x768.
Not sure this works for me, under Direct3D it reads "fake device". I have an GTX 670. Is this normal?

Yup, that's normal, even if it could have used a better name. In fact, that's probably the best way of telling the patched/unpatched versions apart.
For some reason I can't even download the patch. The GoG downloader says "cannot fetch game details"

edit: it only works via manual download withoutt the GoG downloader.
