DaCellaFella: For some reason I can't even download the patch. The GoG downloader says "cannot fetch game details"

edit: it only works via manual download withoutt the GoG downloader.
I've had this issue with all extra content for all games. It's not a big deal since the game download is usually the only one that needs the downloader to finish properly, but it's annoying.

Viperine: Although, is it just me, or does it seem to be running 800x600 only, even though I picked 1024x768 in the options?

timeslip: At what point? The main menu uses a fixed 640x480 resolution, so you wont see a change there. In game there should be a very noticeable difference between 800x600 and 1024x768.
In the game. I'm not entirely sure, though, because it apparently stretches to my full res instead of changing the screen res.

This is how it looks for me:

I just think it looks worse than the non-patched version running in 1024x768, especially text. Look at the small +/- mana text in the mana bar, for instance.

But again, it may just be a result of the res stretching.
Works great. Thanks GOG! AT least I do not need to start my old computer with Win XP on it to run it properly. Now it plays smoothly even on Win7 with max resolution and HW acceleration enabled with all details on. But I still have 1 small issue, as Viparine has. Both of the sides of the screen are black. Can we play it in full screen? IT looks like patch does not like 16:9 monitors and put it in to 4:3 resolution, or? Thanks a lot.
Well YES. IT is because of screen resolution what you have set up in windows. You can simply lower your resolution to 4:3 format, like for me 1600x1200 instead of 1680x1050 and now text is sharp and it is in full screen. One more time big thanks for this patch. Excelent work! going to play DK2 from saved position now /comparing to 640x480 I had to play on win 7 with all details off - to avoid crashes,...now it looks like full hd to me ;))/
1600x1200 is not a smaller version of 1680x1050 and will not work on most if any true 1680x1050 monitors as there are not enough pixels to display that resolution.
Just tested and it works very well, starting up causing a white screen and a delay, but after that all is good. I can enable all the visual goodies now and set the resolution to 1024x768. So great effort, now I should be able to complete the game.
You people just keep making my dreams come true. Absolutely love you guys. You freakin rock!

Any chance the multiplayer works? I would love to finally play this with my friends...even if online is busted could I still do lan?
for me 1600x1200 works best as highest 4:3 possible on my monitor. for rest, just use 4:3 format highest your monitor let u allow... enjoy

Peeto, isn't the menu garbled in that resolution? If so, how do you play DK2 then?
Oh GoG you've me me the happiest girl in the world!

Player a FULL skirmish (oh my god!) at 1920x1080.
The game didn't fill the whole screen but just to play was great.

Damn you, GOG! I've gone so long without purchasing a game (even on Steam), and now you go and do this? Fine, streak broken, and challenge accepted (beat DK2 this weekend)!

In all seriousness, thank you all so very much for this.
Congratulations GoG. Nice job.
This works amazingly well, no more booting to Linux to play my original in Wine. Thanks GoG and the person who wrote the fix. It was defenitely worth paying 5.99 for this game again.

I had a bunch of other fixes and DLL files to help with compatibility problems, so I uninstalled, deleted the folder and then re-installed. I applied the patch and now the game works flawlessly. I might try adding 8x AA to the game to make it look a bit better, but I will be sticking with the 1024*768 resolution to avoid any issues.

I completed the first two missions without a single issue, and all the hardware accelerated features work just fine. Thank you very much for this GoG.
