I try and use the steroids but they don't work ?? any thoughts on that ?? send help soon..

Hello. In the Eduke32 source port, at least, the steroid hotkey is r. Also, I believe [ and ] will cycle through your inventory and the enter key uses your current item. When in doubt, check your control settings.
