I seem to remember this being a DOS-based game; anyone know if it works on 64-bit OSes?

Yes, it will work fine. GOG's DOS titles are emulated through DOSBox so are unaffected by the lack of 16-bit support in 64-bit versions of Windows. DOSBox is available for a variety of platforms so you can even play on a non-Windows OS if you so wish (although the installers themselves only work on Windows).

Or use the High Resolution Pack for an even better experience! (tested on Windows 7 beta 64-bit)
