Hi! This is Ville and Anne, the developers of the adventure-RPG Driftmoon. And we have good news! "Driftmoon: Enchanted Edition" has just been released on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS.

What's new compared to the vanilla Driftmoon?

- Driftmoon now runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android - so take out your tablet or your cellphone and head straight for adventure!
- We've added the Mystery Box, full of surprises for both you and your friends!
- New characters, quests, items and skills (through the Mystery Box and elsewhere too)
- Major graphics update: better textures to look better on modern screens, lightmapped shadows, and the lot.
- Updated user interface: easier to use, looks better, and scales better: from your smallest screen to your living room TV. (still including the possibility to adjust text size, etc)
- Tons of bugfixes, dialogue fixes, quest fixes and improvements.
- Improved music, with an extra melody. All music by Gareth Meek - Thank you again, Gareth!
- Gameplay enhancements: quest reminders, Silver feather counter (very useful!), and more.
- The possibility to recover from a broken save (for example if your disk was full).
- And more surprises! Because there's bound to be something cool that we forgot to mention here.

Ps. There's a discount coupon for our next game hidden inside the Vault level in Driftmoon.
I really hope that it arrives on GOG.

I think there is 2 option :
1) Free update for previous owners
2) Rerelease of game with discount for previous owners.
From the newsletter:

"If you already own Driftmoon through Steam or GOG, your game will receive the update right now, or really soon."

We've already sent the update to GOG, and they're testing it right now. If they find no problems, we'll probably get the update live within a day or two, but if there are some problems it might take another build&test round, could be a few days more. I'm actually impressed that they want to make sure that the games they offer are good quality.

All owners on GOG will receive the update for free when it arrives, and the additional desktop platforms too (mac, linux). The mobile versions (Android, iOS) are just as awesome too, I recommend trying them.

Hello and thank you very much for appearing here personally.
As a dev you can let your account be transformed into a golden one for better visibility inside the threads.

I bought Driftmoon on release directly on your site and was still a Windows user back then and bought it a second time on GOG later.
Since I switched to Linux completely a few years later I am really happy to see a native build and hope it will arrive on GOG soon.
It would be grand if your next game would be multi-platform as well (via Unity vor example).

I noticed Driftmoon when looking for mods for Notrium, which I finished when it was still free, great game.

greetings

Thanks for this update! I wanted to ask if you could take the opportunity to add the achievements also on GOG, I think a lot of GOG users would appreciate them too, thanks again!

Awesome! Once there will be the update and the achievements it will be the perfect time to replay it!

It's taking slightly longer than I expected due to GOG testing being a bit backed up. Usually these are tested well beforehand so the delay doesn't show to players, but at the last minute we decided to make some additional fixes.

Thank you for both the incoming update and for keeping us informed. I'm looking forward to (re)playing the game when it's released :)

Good news! The Enchanted Edition has passed validation at GOG, and will be released early next week, possibly on tuesday. As a special favor for our GOG players (we love you all), we've added GOG achievements! :)

I'll add my thanks as well. I still have the old version downloaded but didn't get a chance to play much past the initial start and forgot about it due to a ton of games in backlog. Now that I'm reminded of the game and the fact it's been enhanced, I can't wait to try it.

Thanks again for the free update to previous owners of the game!
Great news, thanks!

Quick question from an owner of the previous version:

Having Driftmoon v. 1.7.6 on my library, does it mean I have indeed been updated to the Enchanted Edition?
(the artwork has not changed)

I don't see any other goodies such as artbooks, pity.

ps There seems to be a typo, GOG calls it "Enhanced Edition"
