I have just downloaded the installation using GOG Galaxy and applied the hot fix file. The problem is that when I load the game I can't see any DLC and I can't select the other campaings because is greyed out. I have read some posts with similar problems but I can't find a solution.
My installation files are about 36GB. I have no internet connection. Is this game fully DRM free? What am I missing? Have any of you solved the same problem?

Thank you in advance.
I have experienced the same issue on my friends computer. Installed GOG3 version from earlier dowloaded installer, applied GOG5 patch, started the game and there are no other campaigns in the menu.

I'm double-checking it right now.
EDIT:
OK, so I did the following:

- installed old gog-3 version
- installed gog-5 patch
- disabled any network connections
- started the game

all DLCs were in place.

Did you do any additional steps, which I can retrace?

I also had this issue which was solved simply by running the game with Admin rights, i.e. right-click game shortcut and Run as Administrator.

For my game install (on Windows 10), the save data, config files, etc, are stored in Users\Admin\Documents\BioWare. That's likely why Admin rights are required.

Otherwise, without Admin rights, the game will create another BioWare folder under the current user's Documents folder which will not be authorized for DLC content.

Hope that helps you solve your problem.

Edit: Forgot to mention that Users\Admin is a separate user account I created with administrator rights while all other accounts are standard. Perhaps that is an issue for the installer.

Running as admin worked for me (W10)

I don't like it, but it's better than not having the DLC or alternate campaigns. Thanks for the help!
I have retested it on Windows 10 with admin rights and it's working fine. Can't reproduce it.

To clarify, my user account is still a Standard account. What I do is start up the game using the "Run as administrator" option. This means I have to enter the admin password each time but it's a minor inconvenience.

Start up the game by right-clicking the game shortcut and choosing -> More -> Run as administrator

or

Go to your DAOriginsLauncher.exe , right-click -> Properties -> Compatibility tab -> Run this program as an administrator

Yeah, that's what I'm doing and no problems. It's a minor thing (and one reason I sometimes have a subfolder of games for "Admin games" so I don't forget to do that). Thanks again!

I also experienced this issue (with the "GOG-4" version). I submitted a support ticket about it but GOG claimed they could not reproduce this issue. I sent them instructions on how to do so, which mirror those noted here, so hopefully they will act on this.

I figured out a workaround for the problem that does not require running as administrator. This can be used until GOG patches their installer to fix the issue permanently.

You need to copy the files AddIns.xml and offers.xml from the Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings folder of your administrator account to that of your normal user account. Then you should be able to run DAO and have both Awakening and all the DLC accessible without requiring elevated privileges.

Thanks! Worked a treat.
Thiev:

I did the same but with my online connection on and gog-4 version and gog-5 patch. The DLC and other campaigns were missing.

victor.yee and HanSewLow:

As victor.yee reported running the game with admin rights solved the problems but I also use a standard rights account to my everyday use. The HanSewLow solution worked perfectly!

Thank you all!
It is DRM-free no need to login to BSN.
This is still a thing right now. And HanSewLow's answer is still the only reasonable course of action. So thanks to them for helping us out! (purchased a few days ago, running on win7 64bit)

In general getting pretty tired of the "run everything as admin" mantra around here.

This should be stickied! Really important info to know about!
If using Windows 10, you should run the game as Administrator and you will see all DLCs, installed!
It work on me!
