Just started playing, it plays like advertised but these big dead link splash screens in UI are annoying. Does anyone have any suggestions, fixes, where I can go for a GUI mod? I am an old fart, and approve of this game for men over 40. Its fully automatic, and AI really bangs heads with the itself. Just looks ugly, dead links, at startup, no toggle for offline.

You may be offline - check if your firewall blocks the DW exe from downloading the contents destined to be shown on these screens.

Thank you. I am offline. I am seeking a substitute Distant Worlds Universe GUI, a mod, something like the community made, LazyNewbPack or Dwarf Therapist in Dwarf Fortress. Very annoying seeing, before and after each game session, that broken link banner. Maybe just a link to DW Universe mods page is what I need. TYVM

I see. Well, you can close that window once the loading screen pops up - so you won't have to see it after your game session :-). I myself find the long loading times much more annoying, but that's another story.

If you find nothing there, chances are that it doesn't exist.
