Just a quick heads up for anyone considering purchasing this for the nostalgia factor:

If you're like me and played the original game on the MegaDrive when you were younger, be prepared for mild disappointment, as the music is the "improved" score from the Amiga A1200 / PC version.

The gameplay appears to be pretty much identical, but the music not being the true original kind of spoiled it for me. In my opinion, the MegaDrive music was vastly superior.

This is not only a music issue, the Amiga version use less colors, has less details, some decorations are just missing o_O and the frame rate is more rough than the Megadrive version. And this horrible HUD... Definitively not the Megadrive version that a lot of websites have announced by mistake :/

This is the DOS version though, and since it's not 16 colours it must be running in 256 colours and the Megadrive could only do 64 if I remember correctly. I don't think reduced colours is something you have to worry about.

Unfortunatly is we could expect more colors from the DOS version, this not the case. If you compare video and screens given by GOG and the Genesis you can easily notice that. If they have added colors, it's in the worse way possible and some gradations present in the design of the the genesis version's levels are just cut in the GOG's ones as you can directly see on the screens of the store page. At this point the question is not if DOS can use more colors but what they have done with them. Sadly this is a lazy port.

Musics seem betters in some levels but feel tired in some others. I can really decide which one is the best for the bonus stage. The DOS one is from the movie but don't suit the action, and it is the opposite for the Genesis's one...
