Saw a verified user review saying this version lacks controller support. Is there anyone else that can verify there's such a difference compared to the Steam release?
I'd be really interested into that as well. Bump.
edit:
and why only the 2nd game?

It works. I just tested with an XBOX One controller plugged in. Detected with no issues.

Thanks. I did think it would be odd if they had a different build when reading that review, since I know the game has gamepad specific settings and UI elements.
Maybe gog should update the store pages and add that the games support controllers.
Can confirm that the game does have controller support. I play it with my xbox 360 controller and I am having no problems.
Maybe it requires an XINPUT controller and the person reviewing the game has a Direct Input controller?

X360CE can fix that if it is the problem.
It took me 30 minutes to get it to work, but yeah, you need a 32biy version of X360ce, the .configuration file, and xinput1_3.dll which the executable can create. These files either go in the win32 subfolder of dishonored/binaries/win32 or dishonored/binaries/Redist if you have a direct input / dinput controller like me.

XINPUT controllers like the XBOX360 and XBOX One should work without the files.
ok, that'd make sense. thanks for the info, even though I only use xbox controllers.
