I remember when I bought this game back in the day, interplay released the expansion and also a "cuss pack."
I never got around to getting the cuss pack (I dont' think it was sold in stores, only online) so I was wondering if Gog's version comes with it, since it has the expansion?
I'd like to finally play this game completely and without that it makes me feel like it's still missing something the developers intended it to have.
Perhaps Gog can add it if it isn't already in it? Like they put the soundtrack for Redneck rampage up after people wanted it.
Hey Stiler,
As I see you are refering to Redneck Rampage Collection inside Die by the sword forum ;)
Answering your question, this is all about the legal rights.
I can't promise you nothing, but we may have it on gog in near future :)
Cheers!

No, die by the sword had a cuss pack from interplay released a while after it came out.
I was just mentioning redneck rampage as an example of how GoG released something after the game because people wanted it :).
Heyyo,
He means this:
http://files.filefront.com/dbts+cusspackzip/;6093894;/fileinfo.html
It's also on interplay's site:
http://www.interplay.com/support/support.php?id=109
http://www.interplay.com/downloads/dbts-cusspack.zip
That's an official addon to die by the sword made by interplay... it expands Enric's voice overs to include more... aggressive sentences.. like when you walk into lava?
"HOT!!! HOT!!! IT'S FUCKING HOT!!"
or..
"OHH MY ASS! MY ASS!!!"
quote of the readme:
DIE BY THE SWORD(TM) "CUSSPACK" PATCH
README.TXT - 10/27/98
*THIS PATCH IS INTENDED FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY*
WARNING - This patch contains material that may offend.
This is NOT intended to be exposed to children.
The 'Cusspack' replaces audio files contained in the
sounds.atd file with others that'll, shall we say,
colorize Enric's vocabulary. Listen at your own risk.
Enough with the fucking warnings, let's move on to the
damn instructions on how to install this bad bitch!
********************************************************
Instructions
********************************************************
Default game dir [C:Program FilesTantrumDie By The Sword]
1. Go into the Die By The Sworddata directory and
make a copy of 'sounds.atd' in case something goes
wrong.
2. Run the DBTS-CussPack.exe self-extracting file that will
put all the contents into the data subdirectory.
This will create a folder called "SndTmp" that
contains all of the audio files that'll be packed
into the 'sounds.atd'.
3. Three more files will be placed into the "data"
subdirectory. This file (readme.txt), Patchsnd.bat
and patchfiles.exe. It is a good idea not to mess
with the patchfiles.exe.
4. Run the batch file (Patchsnd.bat).
Wait a minute or two while it patches your sounds.
After the patch has completed the "Sndtmp" directory will
automatically be deleted.
5. Feel free to delete the three files mentioned above
(#3). They will be useless after the "Sndtmp"
directory is deleted anyways.
That's it. Enric should be cussing up a fucking storm
while on his quest for Maya.
********************************************************
Troubleshooting
********************************************************
1. Once the Cusspack has been installed, net play will
not be backwards compatible with other players that
do not have the Cusspack.
2. Foreign languages are not effected (no audio changes
occur) by the Cusspack patch but the Cusspack will
still need to be installed in order to play with
other players that may have the Cusspack installed
over the internet. Cusspack only changes English
audio lines.
3. If the above instructions were followed in install-
ing the Cusspack then there should be a back up copy
of the original sounds.atd located in the data
directory. You can simply revert or swap back to
that original file to help ensure compatibility with
other players during multiplay.

Wow, great reply. I used to venture and download all the freebee's off of Interplay's website a long time ago, I didn't even know their was a link to their old site. I was considering contacting the GoG team about uploading some of the free files from their old site, but that point is moot now. Thanks again for the old link.
Ahh, I guess I have been playing too much Warcraft lately, I didnt even know they started a new site. I do however have a theme for DIe by the sword that I would be willing to upload to the site, it's not much, mostly a small collection of wave sounds, but hey it sure beats the standard windows files.

Interplay is back up these days.

Cusspack link seems to be dead though.
I'm curious, did GOG do anything with it?
Was it added to the game? It's not in the additional content tab anyway.
I have found a working link to the cusspack!!

I'm sorry about that. You can't directly link to it.
http://blakepoet.angelfire.com/. Try this. You should see a link for the Die By The Sword cusspack. I opened up the zip file and everything seems to be in order...
Works. I truly should've thought that.
Nice find!

Any news? ^_^
Although I too desire for GOG to be as awesome and complete at it can be,
planning to retry Limb from Limb on another PC very soon helps too.

Bump
Bump.
Will this be added as an extra GOG?
Hosting just in case it gets removed:

Just after some clarification. The cuss pack adds additional voice clips without losing any of the original sayings?
