So I've cleared normal the other day and I was planning doing nightmare and hell but them I realized that single player was not supporting other difficulties. I remember back in the day using this single player file to access some online mode to play nightmare and hell. Am I remembering it wrong? Anyway to do this? I don't really want to start over :/

Try using diablo saver... save the single player character.. then creat a new multiplayer character with the same name and use the restore feature on the new multiplayer character... make sure to unequip and re-equip someitemsbefore moving around...

Worked like a charm! Thanks a lot buddy!!
For completeness, no, there is no in-game way to do this. Exporting a character using an external tool, as described above, is probably the simplest way to get what you wanted.

Also, remember that because you are exploiting a bug to get the increased difficulty in single player, the game will not properly remember the difficulty across restarts. Be sure to reapply the difficulty exploit each time you restart Diablo.
Hello, I have a problem with this solution. The program loads my character and all the items, but when I quit a game and restart my character is "clean" (1lvl and no items). Am I doing something wrong?

Ok, I solved it. I had to run the Diablo as an admin. My character progress saves.
But I have another problem with DiabloSaver. When I load my character from SP to MP everything is ok until I restart the game. Then all of my magic items reroll. For example King's Sword of Haste transfers into Saintly Armor. Uniques stay untouched. Is there any way to keep the Singleplayer magic items?

Just found this tool and having the exact same issues. If I save my items into ulmos stash and reload the game then the magic items don't change...but if I leave the game with them in my inventory or equipped they turn into random things. Was this ever solved?
