Hastur.: I can confirm that Belzebub works with our version.
where can i get that mod??
googling "diablo 1 belzebub download" instead of creating this thread would've given you the answer

Hello everyone! I have a problem/bug with resistances.
I finished the game on Normal with Warrior and now i am playing it on Nightmare.
The thing is, i noticed that my total magic/fire/lightthing/cold resistance does not mach the one that my armor, shield and ring should give to my player.
For example with my current inventory equiped i should have 92% on fire resistance (so it should be maxed out at 75%)
but is shows only 67%.The same thing happens with the cold resistance. Is this a bug or something else??

Thanks in advance!
wouldn't there be a penalty in resistances on higher difficulties? 92 - 67 = 25, that sounds like it

So the penalty for Nightmare is 25% .
Do you know what's the penalty on the other difficulties?
If i'm not mistaken on the original Diablo there was 40 on Nightmare and 100 on Hell.
You are mistaken
https://diablo.fandom.com/wiki/Resistances
". Fortunately, there are no resistance penalties for progressing into the Nightmare/Hell difficulty levels, as opposed to the sequel."
D1 didn't have any penalties :)

Ok so what about the MOD? They changed the resistance penalties with D2?
Ok. I did everything that was told. install the mod, Put the Diabat.mpq file with the mod's directory. but when i launch it it keeps giving me error 0cx000007b. Anyone have ANY idea on how to fix this? I updated all my dang drivers and such
Can someone talk me through how to install the Belzebub mod into the GoG Diablo1 .. I'm lost
drop diabdat.mpq into belzebub's folder xD
I was wondering if there is a way to speed up gameplay using this mod or original?
https://github.com/diasurgical/devilutionX has a slider that lets you adjust game speed

I have been playing the mod and I appreciate the quality of life improvements: especially the zoom in/out function, being able to see objects with alt or ctrl, or the grid merchants shops.

However I have a problem with the regenerating health of mobs and bosses, this totally change the balance of the game and it feels it is intended to grind more even in normal difficulty. Other issue is the range of enemy archers, that is clearly beyond the original field of view.

I wonder if you know a mod that have some of these improvements, especially the resolution options, but mantain the original balance of the game.

Devilutionx only erases the black bands of 4:3 ratio at 16:9 but not zoom out function; I see no other improvements yet besides being able to change gameplay speed (which is great)

You can zoom in with z key on devilutionX. afaik only The Hell 2, Bezelbub, Tchernobog and devilutionX are truly widescreen.

If you want better QoL without overhauling the gameplay try Diablo+, it is good. Diablo isn't meant to be played widescreen (though it can be pretty), 4:3 isn't too bad imo when using GOG's DX wrapper.
