Am I the only one having trouble installing the DLC? It says the base game isn't installed, but that's incorrect.

I would suggest you send your problem over to Support; http://www.gog.com/support/contact/technical_issues_with_games/democracy_3_clones_and_drones , let them know and they can start getting this sorted.

Sent mine off, so hopefully something should be looked at before next Friday. I guess for the weekend we just have to wait.

I thought GOG was proud of its games actually working for players. They even said they have a money buck guaranteed policy. I guess that goes only for old games.

There is nothing from the game causing the incompatibility, that is all from the installer.
I do not know why; it could be GOG's 2.8 is after a similar version or that it is just looking in the wrong place. Either way, GOG should not have released the game without testing it first, so this really should be sorted soon.
EDIT::
The game is fine, as I thought it is looking for the 2.8 version. GOG have silently updated the original Democracy 3 games to 2.8 as well (I had an e-mail this morning).
You only need to redownload Democracy 3's main installer and reinstall the game.
You will loose all of your save games and relevant unlocks.
Social Engineering and Extremism DLC's as well as any extra supplements you have also installed appear to carry over without any issues, but you might want to update them too anyway.

The DLC has been available through both Tuesday and Thursday now (gogs usual release days) and i am bitterly disappointed to see its not here.
D3 is a game i stick on a USB stick and play during quiet hours at work. Is this the trend to expect now? GoG will be sloppy seconds ... are we even GETTING the DLC? if so any idea of a time line?
My GOG library is pretty substantial and this is the first time i have EVER needed to make a serious complaint but this is concerning.
Can we get some clarity on this matter please? I really do NOT want to have to reconsider making my DRM free purchases on GOG :*(
No, we haven't been left out to dry, just that the release of the DLC came around just as we were starting work towards our French launch and our current Fall Sale.
So basically the delay was on our side and we sincerely apologize for that .
Thank you for finally shedding some light on all this. I apologize for my tenacity it really did not help that queries on positechs website were going unanswered aswell.
I hope the launch went well I did not know you guys were doing that or I may have taken that into account.
At the end of the day if i did not hold GoG quality of service and customer support in such high regard I would not have got quite so upset in the first place so i hope you understand and do not hold that one against me.
