So I figured out where I can acess setting for the AMD graphics card (I had to reinstall a driver and a setting overview program, Chatalyst).

But when I tried launching the game to see if there's a difference, the game did launch, but a few second later I got some kind of Unity loading screen that managed to crash the game and I got a "Decay of Logos gas stopped working." message. :(
That's the crash I get via GOG Galaxy.

I've tried launching the game via it's .exe in the installation folder and it crashes if I launch it normally - Unity doesn't even show up - or if I launch it with administrator privilages - Unity launches and the game crashes.

Ah that's too bad, worth a try I suppose. Not sure what we can do here if you're below recommend specs, I would suspect that this happens with other applications.

I'll provide what details I can and if you decide you'd rather make the game better for those that can run it within the suggested hardware range, I'll understand. :) I can always return to an improved game after I finally upgrade my potato.

Decay of Logos is the only program with this error.

I don't get any messages from Unity, it does some kind of loading - I can't switch to the loading window to take a proper look because the fullscreen Decay of Logos window won't let me see anything else - and then I get a message from Windows "Decay of Logos has stopped working." and I can only click "close the program".

I checked what Event Viewer Application log had to say, but I had to translate some things from Slovene into English and what I saw as the original was somewhat strange.
I did the best I could, but some of it might be off.

P.S. I could try to fetch the logs mentioned by Event Viewer if it'd be of help.

Again if it's salvageable, yay; if not, I'll understand. :)
I tried both the "vertify/repair" option in Galaxy and completely uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but nither worked.

By the looks of it, my laptop can't run the game anymore. :(

Still a big thank you to the developers for taking a look at the issues I had with the game even if my laptop was below the minimum requirements to run it. The nearly 10 hours I did have with the game were nothing short of awesome and I look forward to returning to the game after I get a better laptop. :D

Best of luck with future development. :)

This is getting stranger by the minute. XD

I went back to version 1.3 since the game previously worked fine with it and I still get the same thing: Unity launches, loads for a bit and the game chrashes.

I also tried rolling back the game all the way to version 1.0 and the same thing happens.
I was finally able to see the full heading of the Unity window, though: "Unity 2018.41f1_b7c424a951c0".
I also got a pop-up window before Unity launched this time, something about the ADM card or something related to it: "AMD has chrased and recovered".

So I used a "clean wipe" AMD program to unistall all the drivers for the AMD graphics card since the AMD folder was a mess.
Then I made sure to update to the latest driver, even the 1.7.7 optional one.

So far AMD has not detected Decay of Logos on the list of aplications.
As strange as it seems, my "better" graphics card interfering with the game might be the issue; or the previous mess of drivers. Not sure.

In any case, tha game works again with the latest version too. :D

My sincere aplogies for wasting the developers' time on something that was my fault. :(

Thank you for the additional details, we appreciate it.

What's the exact GPU or laptop model?

What's the exact GPU or laptop model?
Glad to hear I didn't accidently upset anyone. Thank you. :)

Let's see I know it's a Lenovo laptop and from what I can see on the sticker on the bottom of the laptop, it says:
"Lenovo G 50-70, model number: 20351".
Do you also need the "input", "Mg date", "S/N", "MTM" and "MO" fields specified?

The graphics card I've been messing with is an AMD Radeon R5 M230.
In DirectX Diagnostic Tool's window it shows up under "Depiction" (I'm not sure how to properly translate that, my system is set to Slovene and even the original word looks strange in this context).

Under "Disply" in Diagnostic Tool's window I see the "Intel(R) HD Graphic Family" graphics card, but I haven't changed anything connected to it.

No problem, thanks for the additional details!

Just to clarify, I don't think there's much we can do in this particular case.

Any chance you can get us the txt logs below after the crash? Not sure if they will be generated but it can't hurt to try.

You're welcome and that's alright, I appreciate you trying and I'm aware you can't make a miracle with old hardware. :)

I only found one .txt file (output_log) and apparently I can't add it as an attachment on GOG's forum. I get a "wrong file type" message.
Do you have an email I can send it to?
If you'd prefer, you can also send me a friend request and we can work out the details via GOG's chat.

In case it's useful to other players, your safe files can also be found in the same folder (\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\Amplify Creations\Decay of Logos\).

Thanks, we got it!

Not many clues in the log but it says that it's using Intel HD so I suppose there could be something going on with your configuration. I'm not well versed on AMD requirements, but it does sound like something is off.

Glad to hear it. :)

Useful clues nonetheless.
I've yet to spot anything useful in the Intel HD's settings (all it does let me do is "brighten/darken video" and similar settings that I'm not sure what to do with, but they shouldn't have any impact on games), so I doubt there's anything I can do about it.
For now I'll try to make sure the AMD card doesn't interfere with the game since it seems to be the most likely suspect for causing the crash.
I'd rather play the game on minimal settings than not at all.

At least I'll know what to look out for, thank you very much. :D
