No. gog is a different platform from steam.
Thanks. I understand Steam is a different platform, but there are many games on GoG that you can redeem on Steam. If Cuphead was one of those games, I'd prefer to purchase on GoG.
What games are those? I haven't seen anything I've bought from GOG come with a key for Steam.

You can only add games to GOG that you have on Steam and only if they are supported by GOG Connect. You can't add games you own on GOG to Steam.

Yeah. I didn't think so. Not sure why that guy is claiming "there are many games on GoG that you can redeem on Steam."
This is stupid move from the game's distributor whoever it is. I can understand why I must pay for Xbox version, because it is clearly another platform. But pay three times for GOG/Steam/Windows store to run game on the same WIndows OS? This is bs. And by the way, for now only GOG's version has no achievements, too bad I discovered it after purchase.

Are you buying three copies of the Windows version for other people? Just pick one of those stores. You don't need to buy a copy from every single store. The GOG version might have achievements added later. Game Features tell you if a game has achievements or not. They're on the right under Game Details.
If GOG adds achievements my issue will be resolved. I considered buying Steam's version for those, but didn't want to waste money. Hope they will add them soon.

If you buy a CD, you would still have to buy it again to get it on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon Music, etc. That's... how having different distribution platforms work.
Also I cannot possibly imagine a reason to need to buy all 3 copies... ever.. o.O
