Clownski_: Sorry to be a party pooper but we had to roll that one back as our QA found some issues with the build. :(
Worry not though, we're working closely with Devolver to bring you an updated version ASAP! I'll let you know once I hear anything more.
Any development?

Some people say that it was to be expected, but I don't think it is ideal. Far from it. I guess that's why GOG seemingly want to go back to their "Good Old Games" roots: they can't provide good customer experience for new releases.

Nothing just yet, apologies. Personally I'm also waiting for the update as the game sucked me in like crazy, so I hope we can deliver it soon. Again, sorry for such a delay. :(

Thanks for replying, pizza cat!

Are you allowed to tell us what happened with the build?

I assume the problem had nothing to do with the game itself, but rather peripheral things like authentication, achievements or "DRM" (lack of DRM, in your case). Am I right?

I thought GOG wasn't doing a QA check on updates.

Can't comment on the first part I'm afraid, but as for QA - we do! We've got a dedicated QA Team that's responsible for testing all (I believe) releases, including updates.

So should I just return my gog copy and get steam copy? Cause this is beyond frustrating.

Oh... (And I understand that you can't discuss the details. :) )
But... I assume QA testing for updates is done a posteriori (i.e. after the publication), considering the patch was in the wild for a few minutes.

I'm heavily considering this, this is ridiculous.
GOG, We're already several versions behind. Can we get some eyes on this? I would understand if this was a console storefront that needs to be certified but we can't play our purchase here.

"Cult of the Lamb Update 1.0.7 Patch Notes (August 16, 2022)"

GOG Version = 1.0.3
Steam is at Version 1.0.8 actually.

Are you sure?

GOG uses different version numbering system. GOG's "1.00" is game's "1.0.3".

They tried pushing 1.0.7 or 1.0.8 and it was labelled "1.2".

Quick update - we are now waiting for the new build that will fix the existing issues of 1.0.8 and provide a more stable experience. Gotta ask you for a little bit more patience, we're doing all we can to bring everyone up to speed. Thanks!

I say what I see, and I see 1.00.
