I have a problem with a different version of Crusader: No Remorse.

While the GOG version works just fine in the sound department (except some stuttering in the intro video, but that can be solved by returning to Windows and Alt-Tab back to the game - anyway that's not my problem)
in an alternate version of the game the cutscenes sound like they were being played from a cell phone. Like mono or internal speaker sound. The rest of the game sound great, main menu music great, sounds and ingame music great, but the cutscenes are like they are being switched to mono or something.

I've tried replicating the GOG's dosbox.conf with the other one, but the problem insists.

Any idea what could cause that?

Which version of the game? All cutscenes are identical across all official releases of the game (excluding console version).

By "version" I mean a different DosBox package of the same game.
Any idea why would the cutscenes sound like that?

Not sure. Why not use GOG's version? Maybe try to replicate what that other version is doing if that's the one you want to use.

I've already tried replicating the GOG version's conf. to the portable one, I've even copied the entire file but the result is still the same.

Do you think it has something to do with the mounted image? The one I'm using has an img./cue. mounted. Will there be any change if I use an iso.?
