While everything about the game world itself is saved and comes back up the way I left it (creatures, objects, etc.), certain settings are not being saved upon exit. These include:

- Toolbar placement
- Status bar being selected
- Any alarms created in the Observation kit

Does anyone know why these settings would not be saved? I think that the last one might be because the Observation kit is a "separate" .exe, but why wouldn't my world be keeping track of the other settings?

Have you tried going into the games folder and setting the other .exe file to run as an administrator on the compatibility tab?

The above assumes you use win7 or vista though and is not applicable to xp.

I am using Windows XP, unfortunately.
Any suggestions? I'm starting to suspect either a registry problem, or the fact that the world data is stored in My Documents instead of the program folder.
