zaba11: In the concept, and by the most desing this game is very good, but execution, make this game one of the worst game in
GOG, like a Gothic 3 Forsaken Gods.
If they want save they good name, they should made patch, and made it now.
Gothic 3 FG had big shoes to fill because they promised sequel to pretty well made game, and they failed miserably. This game
doesn't promise windwaker or zelda or anything else people have been comparing it to. And they provide free try-before-buy demo, which is representative of the whole game imo.
I personally didn't mind the execution. I found only few minor bugs. But I somehow lost interest when I got on the desert island. I'm not even sure about the reason. Probably combination of several: late evening and time to go to bed, sandsurfing being interesting but hard to control, no minimap means I have no idea where I am or where I'm going, I found several places that looked like puzzles out in the desert but nothing I did had any effect... I just didn't pick it up the next day. I still think I'll finish one day.
If the pace keeps up it should take about 15 hours to finish. Probably not worth the full asking price, but it certainly doesn't deserve to be likened to FG disaster.
PS: if you want a patch, it would help to be more concrete about what is broken. For me, it was:
- Tyrim stuck in "push heavy thing" movement mode when not pushing anything. Fix: push something real and back away, or jump, or roll.
- one NPC thanked me for fixing their windmill before it was fixed. Not a big deal, the dialogues don't take themselves too seriously anyway.
... and that's it.
