Hey, First let me thank you for making this old game available on new systems!

I am having one issue. When I steer left or right the wheels do not come back to center after I have completed the turn. To get the wheel to come back straight I have to "Steer" to the opposite direction. This causes an over steering of the car. is there any way to fix this?
That's Carmageddon for ya.

It takes a while to get used to but it works when you do.

I have the same problem. If anybody already solved this, please let me know. Thanks
I remember the steering always being pretty bad in the original game, but it does seem worse in this version. Some maps are almost unplayable because I can't get around the sharp corners on raised tracks at more than 20mph.

If the original version would install on 64-bit Windows I'd run it and see if it's as bad.
Yeah I have this problem too ;_;

Just a thought, are you using the fast steer button whilst turning?
This issue renders the game very difficult to control, so much it's almost unplayable. I've played the PSX version, I don't recall having a similar problem while playing on the console. If it's not possible to fix this, I'd rather play on a emulator, that at least lets me enjoy the game.

You're using an emulator either way :p
Noticed this steering problem too where the wheels don't straighten, well they do but it is uselessly slow which means you have to try straighten them yourself resulting in constantly over-steering like fishtailing.

The game is pretty much useless like this and it wasn't the case with older versions, played quite a bit of Carma 2 back in the day and while its car handling wasn't nearly as good as Carma 1 is wasn't nearly this bad.

The only fix for this I've noticed is using a controller/gamepad, even just plugging it in and not using it will cause the wheels to auto straighten at a reasonable speed. Though its not perfect because sometimes it feels like you're fighting to steer against the controller trying to go straight, still worlds better that way.

Still its pretty ridiculous that this got released like this, quite shameful to be honest as there's no way this could have gone unnoticed in any testing.
