I bought the game, and it supposed to work well on Win7, but... I installed non -official patch... It finally works! But without music. Yes, I turned it on in the menu. And checked .txt file as well. There's still no music. I have an old disc with this game, but I don't want to install WinXP, so I bought it again. For nothing.

Retail CtP2 used music from CD and in order to make downloadable version, GOG converted the music tracks to MP3's and somehow managed to make game use them instead of CD soundtrack. The problem is the CtP2 Source Code project is based on the CD version and expects music to be on the game CD. Unfortunately the development of the CtP2 Source Code Project has pretty much stopped so unless new coder(s) step up and take over the development, it's unlikely to be fixed. You either have to use unmodified GOG version or play the music with a music player in the background.

Did the movies run without problems btw? I have to move/remove the movie folder to get the game to run otherwise I get black screen with sound. This is with WinXP btw.
wellp

that about sums up my problem then.

and no, the movies aren't working (win7)
