I'm on Windows, I had no problems with these savegames whatsoever. Maybe you use another system and there is a difference in savegames between platforms?

When I extract the savegames from these archive into the correct folder, I can normally press restore ingame and it works.

I am also on Windows.. what exactly is the correct folder to put the savegames in???

You say it like it's a bad thing to replay this great game from the beginning.

Before I replay the game, I'd like to finish it for the first time :-).

OMG I am stuck already and cannot get past that goat.... probably a very simple solution, but i have tried sooo much already.. :(

The first game had a goat puzzle. It just required that you clicked fast enough on certain items. Perhaps here it is also a case of speed?

I keep getting hit by the goat... can't believe it I have played a lot of games and now stuck so early in the game.. it's embarrassing..Never mind... found it.. :-)

I just did the goat as well :P.

And now I am stuck again.. hate this game already, haha.. don't know what to do after the goat is eating the apples...

Actually it is a bad thing - in this case/situation. It wasn't that long ago that I finished the game and I still have everything fresh in mind. So if I would have had to fast-click through everything I already know just to get to the beginning of episode 2, it wouldn't have been fun, only agony.

I only replay games when there's something to gain, like remembering cool moments again, that were long forgotten etc...

Anyone stuck at the Ave Maria thing? I know what I'm supposed to do, but what key is the song in?

EDIT: Never mind, got it :). This game is cool, I'm enjoying it immensely.

EDIT 2: Got an easter egg achievement as well. At least it says "easter egg" after its name. Not sure it normal achievement or an additional one though.
