Hi Guys,

Just to let you know that we have uploaded a 1.01 patch for both: MAC and PC - the most important changes are:

- Crash fixes (modern inventory combine bug)
- Several script bug fixes
- Better fullscreen support
- Performance improvements (movies on OSX)
- English translation improvements
- Backer credits

The patch reports some errors for me. While it did run through the setup it took a long time (~5 minutes) and during the process the dialog was unresponsive, even though the progress bar updated from time to time. After finishing it said there were errors. They are, according to the patch log, as following:

Broken Sword 5 - the Serpents Curse - Episode 1 patch log
Update from version 2.1.0.4 to 2.1.1.5

Incorrect version of: C:\Games\Broken Sword 5 - the Serpents Curse - Episode 1\english.vsa
Incorrect version of: C:\Games\Broken Sword 5 - the Serpents Curse - Episode 1\movie.vt7a

I'm running Windows 8.1 x64 (Intel Core i3, Intel HD 4000 with concurrent driver) and downloaded/installed the German version of BS5.

Where do I find this patch for the MAC version? All I could find was an "universal update" to v2.1.1 in the Windows section - but since it's an .exe file I won't be able to use that one on a MAC.

For the Mac version you have to download the full install again, I assume it's in there. I'm downloading it now

That is correct.

@DerLiterat

Please make sure that you have 2.1.0 installed. If not, then please install this update first: Universal Update (2.0.0 to 2.1.0) - I've just made it available.

I have the Mac version and in my game it says Version 1.01. I have already re-downloaded and re-installed the game. Do I have the newest version now or don't I - I am completely confused, since in the Windows section it says something of versions 2.1.0 and 2.1.1? I can now see the newly added Backers' names in the credits and the cutscenes are running smoothly now, but my aspect radio is still stretched in fullscreen mode.

If you have version 1.01 displayed then you have the latest version of the game :)

The Windows version numbers you are referring to are our own installer numbers :)

I also got an error during the update, it appears as follow in the patch.log:

I installed the french version of the game, and it was updated to 2.1.0.4 last week prior to launching this second patch.

The best solution to the incorrect version is to reinstall over the existing game then re-run the latest patch.

So redownload and reinstall ep1 with the 2.1.0.4 version (2.1.0 Install) and then run the 2.1.1.5 patch (2.1.0 to 2.1.1) you already downloaded.

The game version after re-install will be v1.00 and after the patch v1.01

This version number is found in the bottom right of the screen, on the OPTIONS MORE page, where it also offers the Credits and Facebook link.

I have an issue with texture sizes but somehow i cant download the patch 1.01 you mentioned elsewhere. The game doesnt patching or i dont know tried to reinstall but still nothing. Can you help me mate?! Is there a normal setup able patch?

This patch has been long since superseded by the latest installer for Broken Sowrd 5 which features both episodes in one installer.
