LumChn: There seems to be an animation-related issue with potentially all of the Spacer Light Mechs when they're standing still and firing at the same time.
For now I only noticed this while engaging Cantors, but since all Spacer Light Mechs are sharing the same leg design and thus the same animation sets(?) it's probably occuring on the others (Hound, Howler, Sleepwalker and Widow) as well.
The issue manifests twofold in a kind of jittery motion, as if the mech is stuck on something on the terrain and the walking animation being played out (while not actually moving at all) when turning and trying to follow the movement of and firing at my vehicle.

Some footage I captured (and, looking at it, maybe brightened up a bit too much) which should demonstrate the issue:

Have noticed this with the latest version too.
And I don't remember this happening in the build before that.

I'm on Linux.

I want to install the game to "/opt/stellar_jockeys/Brigador Up Armored Edition/", owned by root:root, but the game wants to write files to its install location and not to ~ (i.e. ~/.config/stellar_jockeys/brigador or ~/.local/share/stellar_jockeys/brigador).

When I run `diff -r` against the /opt installation and another more permissive installation (where the game runs great), I can see the following files are being written:

$ diff -r ~/Brig "/opt/stellar_jockeys/Brigador Up Armored Edition/"
Only in /home/me/Brig: brig log
Only in /home/me/Brig/game: imgui.ini
Only in /home/me/Brig/game: log.txt
Only in /home/me/Brig/game: profile.json
Only in /home/me/Brig/game: settings.json

All my other games support such a setup. Is there some way to configure this?

I have logs of the output when running `start.sh` in both cases.

Thanks.

Glad to see I'm not the only one having noticed that (minor) nuisance. Hope it'll get fixed eventually - if there's another patch planned(?).

This is a known issue, though technically not a bug. It's a combination of the fact that particular mech has a very narrow turning arc for its upper section, so it has to turn its legs to face the player. Combine that with the fact that, because of memory budgeting issues, we just use the walk animation for turning in place and the Spacer light mech leg chassis has a very dynamic first few frames means that you end up with that jittery and noticeable effect.

It's something I want to look at to see if I can alleviate from the game-data side while still keeping that AI unit functionally the same. We'll see.

Thanks for the insight.
That was just something I noticed and thought hadn't occurred in previous builds hence the assumption that it was a newly introduced issue. I guess it just somehow didn't catch my eye earlier when it actually was happening all the time since the release of the Up-Armored Edition.

Please don't strain it though. Last thing I'd want is you and the other guys spending too much time trying to fix something as miniscule and easily missable (if you're not looking for it) as this. If getting to the bottom of this helps avoiding anything similar from happening in the follow-up to Brigador on the other hand...

On a related note - I recently saw that Johnny Five Aces' legacy will be carried on in PoE II: Deadfire, also thanks to his cameo in Brigador. Very cool.
I seriously doubt J. Sawyer/Obsidian can come up with something for his backstory that could top the one he has in Brigador though.
Heya, bit late to the party here. GOG Galaxy thinks it didnt install the game properly, and now refuses to uninstall or verify/repair the install. I'm playing the game just fine outside of Galaxy, it's just annoying to not get it working properly. Any ideas?

HughSJ: New builds should have just come through. Please let us know if there's any issues.

Also Tengant, thanks for the close read on the Chieftain text—that one slipped through apparently, and I'll have it fixed soon. Cheers!

I-1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer error.

In some other games I get this error as well but I fix this by inserting missing dll's where the games .exe resides.

Any suggestions?

A quick search on the net reveals that this particular dll is part of Microsoft's Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015. Reinstalling either the standalone version of the redist or just Brigador (since the redist should be included with Brigador's installer) should fix this.

To make absolutely sure I'd do the reinstall NOT through Galaxy but use the backup offline installer instead.

Thank you I have done this before.
Very few games do give me this problem, I had to return them but I will be patient with this one. Maybe dev can crank out a solution.

You might want to just file a ticket with support instead. It looks like as if the devs check on the forums here on GoG only very sporadically.

Weird that reinstalling wouldn't help in this case. You did a clean reinstall though? Including uninstalling Brigador beforehand, and making sure that the 2015 Visual C++ redist (or whatever version is included with the Brigador installer) is completely removed too?

Two threads with solutions to the same issue (I believe), if you still want to give it a try yourself.

Thanks everyone for supporting each other on the game.

@NovumZ were you able to get the game to run? Let us know especially if you weren't able to and we'll see what we can do.

Yes I was, thank you and Thanks everyone! :)
I wasn't aware that missing dll's came in 2 flavors (x86,x64) :D
I thought all newer games were x64.
The briefing text for "Fly Blackbird" refers the player to Lore entries for both "Great Leader" and "Orbital Guns." Neither of these subjects actually has a Lore entry available for purchase.
