Followed the instructions, but the only thing that seems to work is zBlood.

Me too. I can't start a singleplayer map and yang does also not work. I followed the instrucionts closely but zBlood is the only thing that works with the launcher(and who needs zBlood anyway?^^)

Everytime i choose a map or try to host a server, blood console launches and goes back to destop without an error message. I don't see any rooms in yang either.

Any suggestions?

I just found out that a rescripted version of Bloody Pulp Fiction was released recently. Although not the greatest episode pack, It's still worth a play especially now that the texture bug has been fixed.

However, can someone help me figure out a way to get this running on the launcher? Unfortunately playing it alone on a 800x600 window without BMOUSE support or CD music isn't doing it for me, and despite my best efforts I couldn't get it to work on the launcher. I can only presume I'm doing something wrong, so if any experts at modding blood files can help me it would be greatly appreciated.
Finally fixed that texture problem?

Time to reinstall to the laptop.

A file in the launcher is getting flagged as a trojan. Is the download on the site no longer safe?

Not sure anything has changed, this has been flagging peoples virus checker for a while, you can look back through the thread. No idea if it's safe though.

So I'm having a small problem with the launcher, Whenever I go to the Episode selection screen, I get something that looks like this:

Can't find

App data/Local/Temp/ MMB Player/ G


Anyone know how to fix this ?

its false positives, this launcher is 100% safe, just ignore it


its because the launcher itself accesses seperate files in the blood folder from itself and most AV's mistake that for typical behaviour associated with a malicious program, fear not it's safe, played it many many times

I followed the Launcher installation instructions to the letter, but I get a broken Loader that states it can't load the WMB player and when I attempt to launch the main Blood game it loads DOSBox and promptly crashes back to the desktop.

EDIT: Also I'm not so sure the launcher download isn't affected by a virus, as after working on it yesterday I woke up this morning to find my browser packed with ad-ware garbage like Buzzdock.

I tried the launcher and it works great! but now I want to know How can I disable the autoaim (I was able to do it with the gog version without the launcher, but now I cant)

EDIT: Do I have to manually edit all that dosblood_xxx.conf files myself? (putting -noaim command in each one of them?)

I would use this if it was properly updated and the virus thing was fixed.

I think the error about the missing file is because the Anti-Virus software deletes the file automatically as it is a suspected trojan. No real way around that I think unless you disable your Anti-Virus, which I'm not going to to in consideration of the files not being updated in an exceptionally long period of time. (Over 4 years?)

I LOVE this launcher!

I have a couple of questions:

-Is there a way to choose the difficulty in the "Choose your own blood" menu where you pick the episode and level? I used to be great at this game but now even the default difficulty of this game seems a little too crispy too me sometimes.

-When I run a level from the "Choose your own blood" menu, the CD audio doesn't seem to come on. It comes on when I launch the main game or a mod from the launcher. Just not here. Am I missing a setting?

Thanks for this wonderful launcher. I haven't played this game since the late 90's and I love it!

Not saying I don't trust this, but I'm a bit of a paranoid man and after running the launcher I got 4 virus popups. Something called "MMB Player / G_Combobox.dll" - Trojan Backdoor.

Granted I'm used to maybe one of these every time I install a mod, but four? Can someone reassure me here?

Are you using AVG? I got no pop ups of any kind with my A/V.
(Avoiding telling what name it is due to flame wars)
