The other ones aren't bad considering I made them when I was a teenager first learning Mapedit (after Build in middle school), but the Death Wish levels are far superior in my opinion :-)

I don't know where Freeminded dug some of those up, anyway ... most of them only used to be on the Bloodshack (aka Beavis 53's) website in the 90's.
Just saw that 1.2 is up. Not certain if I want to upgrade, since I highly doubt it's save compatible and I'm in Weird Science.

Edit: It seems to be save compatible! Or at least, it didn't break my game when I loaded it up.

It won't interfere with the level you're working through, but will load up the new one next time you play.

The blood save files basically make a copy of the level that's being played so loading up the new stuff won't erase your progress even through all the maps are being overwritten :-)

Awesome! I'm only a little bit into it now, but Grapes of Wraith is pretty awesome.
Thanks! That's actually one of the last maps I built along with dwe2m6 and dwe3m3.

There's a guy on Justin.tv that's been playing through on Extra Crispy (and feeling the pain). The streams are really long but entertaining nonetheless.

I was there for the first stream but missed the second. I'm trying to find out when the next one will take place.

Yeah, I read the commentary. Even though I probably shouldn't because I haven't finished the game yet. But I do like that you included one, I wish more people would do that.
I just finished. This was most excellent.
It looks like ModDB is taking votes for "Mod of the Year". Be sure to vote for Death Wish.

Voted! :)

In fact, I feel that the word "mod" doesn't even do justice to "Death Wish". After all, this "mod" is just as long as the original game itself and is easily of the same quality.

Voted so hard and left a review.
Well thank you very much, to the creators of this fine expansion. I've now lost an entire weekend and more to its grisly embrace.

I honestly felt this expansion was as good or better than the two commercial additions to the game and, darn it all, every single time I thought a level was going to be another empty cliche, it surprised me, shocked me, scared me, and thrilled me.

Also, even if every other level in Death Wise had been a tedious slog (which they most certainly are not), it still would have been one of the greatest expansions I've ever played for one reason: The Thing.

That level actually gave me he shivers!
will definitely give it a shot, cheers OP

Thanks to the creator, a lot of work was clearly put into this!
Argh, I can't get it to work and I have no idea what I am missing. I set everything up, changed the shortcut target stuff but then DOSBOX starts and shuts down again immediatly. It doesn't even get to the loading screen.

Did you alter your dosboxBloodDW.conf file? I had to amend the file with the last bit from the main .conf file, changing the path and making sure it looked like this: @ECHO OFF
mount C "."
imgmount D game.inst -t iso
c:
cls
blood.exe -ini dw.ini
exit

I think it was due to the folder I have Blood installed in, but I was unable to load it as well until I altered the config.
