Seducer: The "BuildGDX.jar" file is missing from both of the latest versions available for download.

Can someone please upload the file for me to download?

Cheers.

Korell: I just downloaded it and BuildGDX.jar is present inside the archive. Are you sure you don't just have a corrupted download or that your anti-virus software has blocked that file in error?

Strange. I just tried again and the file was present this time. I guess I'll chock it up to a corrupted download.

Thanks.

Megacyclo: It might be a massively stupid question, but I don't understand how to get the music to play in Blood or Redneck Rampage in BuildGDX. Also the TekWar CD tracks.
MIDI plays fine in Duke or Witchaven.

I tried putting the music in OGG format naming the files Track_02 onward choose external or CD audio and it doesn't play anything. Do I have to ass a CUE file?
Also thinking of changing this to Track02 or something.

If you guys have tips, since the documentation on M210 is scarce on his site or in the BuildGDX package (the TXT files included in the downloadable archive).

phredreeke: For me the OGG files that comes with BloodFS work with BloodGDX, they should be named blood02.ogg, blood03.ogg and so on.

Redneck Rampage is different as the music is included in the CD image file (REDNECK.GOG). You will have to extract the music tracks from that and encode it to OGG to play in game. Alternatively fgsfds made a preconverted pack for Steam users (as their version of the game lacks the soundtrack...) which should work here as well

You should choose CD Audio as music setting. External is for loading replacements for the MIDI tracks.
What about TekWar?

What do the file names have to be? Can they just be placed inside the game folder?

did duke4 site get shutdown? I been trying all morning and have not been able to get the site to load.

dstoops: did duke4 site get shutdown?
It's unreachable, probably not permanently shut down though. Might be temporary outage with their hosting provider or some lunkheads might be targeting the site because... well, you know how the internet is.
It looks like it is still down.
You can still reach his GitLab repository if that helps

I'm encountering the same problem with BuildGDX. I have all the ogg files in the main folder for Redneck Rampage, but for some reason the CD Audio won't play in the game.

I tried many things, and I found that for RR and such it need to be named trackXX.ogg with XX ranging from 02 to 09.
Note that it's case sensitive, so no caps.
It works, did you configure everything properly?
Have you tried turning the music option on, then changing the source, clicking "apply" then trying back?
Might have to exit and reload or something.
I can't tell you exactly what to do, but with the proper filenames it should work just fine, I had to try a few times.

Yeah, I was able to fix the problem. I made sure the ogg files were the right syntax, then I went into the RR options, selected audio setup, and then I manually enabled CD Audio.

Were you not able to get the blood03-09.ogg files from your game install directory?
They should be there for both the OUWB and the B:FS installations.

I'll raise this thread with a question.
Currently BuildGDX incorporates all supported engines in one jar package. If I start that package, it opens game selection menu. Is there command line option to run, for example, specifically Blood or Witchaven directly? Without that menu.

It's quite late to answer but I just found out that if you place the jar file inside game folder, it starts in portable mode (which for instance means that it will have its proper settings and not use system wide ones), and it already selects the right game to be launched
