Hopefully now that the devs are posting on GOG it means that they were serious about bringing the GOG version up to date with the Steam version.

By the looks of it, I'm not holding my breath. I posted a question that got an answer 10 months later from a dev (for the original poster, it was an even longer wait), then more than 3 months later, we're still waiting for an update on the complete patch for Linux.

This seems like it should be a small clerical issue that is quickly resolvable.

I'm waiting 1 more month and then I'm giving the complete edition upgrade a 1 star review based on the horrible Linux support we are receiving. Don't claim something works on Linux if you won't keep it updated and functional for Linux.

I emailed them about this a short while ago and got a reply today:

Hello, unfortunately, we have a big problem with moving version up on GOG.com, since the engine GameMaker Studio 1.4 is deprecated now and BLACKHOLE is still not working with GameMaker Studio 2, we have big problems to patch our game.

But we are still working on it. It's a long process where Engine developer needs to adjust a things for us, which is not easy by their words.

I am really sorry for this inconvience, but it's not our intention.

GOG.com have all the DLC though. And the version 1.9 on Steam is basically the same as GOG.com 1.7 ... there are few known issues and bugs though. But we are using different version scheme between Steam and GOG, so that's why it's little confusing.

Thank you for understanding,

Make of that what you will.

Sorry for taking so long to reply, but what exactly isn't working for you on Linux?

It seems the complete edition updater now works. Thanks for the update.

Back when I last posted, the complete edition upgrader returned an error.

PS: I forgot to post the 1 star review for the expan, so no worries on that front. Guess my bark is worse than my byte.

I am actually happy that you sort it out! The 1 star review - well, it's the process I guess we deserve, if you can't find something what was promised to you. But I am glad it work out somehow.

Weird thing is ... we didn't change anything up to this point :D. So it's magical resolve. I wish everything could work like this in the universe... :D
The game has been updated to 1.10 here on GOG.com.
Hopefully it's okay to say, that 1.10 is here one week before it will hit Steam :).

Linux 1.10 is coming soon.
