Hi,

I'm terribly sorry for asking what I suspect is a dumb question, but I've searched the forums and everyone seems preoccupied with problems once they have gotten the widescreen to sort of work.

My issue is that I can't get it to work at all. I installed it in the game directory, and when I go to the config menu there is only one unsupported resolution option available, and when I use this I still have the black spaces on each side of the screen as the game window is centered on the screen.

In advance, thanks a lot for any input!
First of all, just to know that we are on the same page, you actually talking about this mod, right?

I suspect you run BGConfig.exe to setup the resolution. That file has nothing to do with the mod.
Any weidu mod you may find does not have a graphical interface. Any and all interaction with the user is done through a DOS window.

The exe you downloaded it's just a self extracting RAR archive that extracts the files inside the folder you specify.
After the extraction you must go to the game's folder, run setup-widescreen.exe and through a series of questions you will manually specify the dimensions you want the game to run in.
If your screen's max resolution makes the game too small and you want a lower one, it is advised to stick to well known resolutions to ensure your graphics card supports them. For example I find text too small on my 1680x1050 monitor, so I use 1280x800.
Well I was right, it was a dumb question. Thanks!
