I'm getting to play through BG1 and I did the conservative mod setup. I have my resolution set to 1028x768. It looks good but it doesn't stretch across the whole screen. There is about an inch and half of empty space on the right side. My monitor is at 1440x900. Do I need to use that resolution in order to fill up the whole monitor? I was hoping to not have to do that cause everything would be too small I think.

Ok I figured it out...just kidding. I didn't..lol. I'm playing easy TuTu and just running the game at 800x600 which fills the whole screen. It seems to me you don't even need to have the widscreen mod. I get the same result whether I change the resolution using the mod or in the BG2 config. I'm assuming I'm missing something completely obvious here.
The widescreen mod isn't made to fill your monitor (primarily, though it can do that), but to let you play at resolutions not or badly supported by the game.

With the mod you can play @1440x900 if you want to. For stretching the image to your monitor, you have to reference your monitor/videocard options.
Thanks so much for the response. Sounds good. I wanted to make sure I wasn't completely screwing something. Honestly I've been just playing at 800x600. Anything higher than that is too small and too hard to read...lol.
There's a companion tweak to increase the font size if your resolution is increased too much.
