I understood what I was asking.

I am experiencing some similar issues to others with my new BG2 Complete pack from Gog. If I run the game in any default resolution (or config utility expanded options), the display looks ok, but when I try to scroll left, my mouse moves past the edge of the game screen onto my second monitor instead.

Additionally, when I launch the game, it repositions all of my windows on the desktop as if I had changed the desktop resolution. They can be moved back, but this is super annoying, especially because the game moves them any time I re-tab back into it.

I have also tried the widescreen mod (which works fine for my BG1 Tutu install). This shunts the game into the top left corner of the screen. The monitor doesn't get the info it needs to realize that it should snap to a new resolution using this mod specifically with BG2 Complete.
Cant go too low with this on BG:II or everythign goes crazy. at 1360 x 768 or lower it only shows a quater of the screen in 256 colours or something odd. Anyone else have this problem?

chautemoc: I'd recommend simply waiting for BG2 to arrive so you can play it with that engine.
I don't know if anybody reads here anymore at all, but I'm still hoping someone can help. I got the GoG version of BGToSC and tried with the widescreen patch v3.05 and GUI mod beta0.99. The result is this -> http://www.gog.com/en/forum/baldur_s_gate/a_conservative_modders_gui/post46.
Not only menus, but in game look like see attachment.
Also, I can't set up a character blind and it seems I can't set one up pre patch and then use the save...?

So, would this work with BG2 also installed, then?
Thing is, I don't know if I want to buy a second game, if I don't even know if I can play it with the mod then, as without it's just not playable. Plus, I don't know if I really CAN play this game - haven't played it before, thought I should try and fix that oversight, but am not sure if I can get into it. Help?

Edit: I worked it out in windowed mode now (no chance for full screen), but I still need to fix the mouse lag. I adjusted the ws patch to 1020x1080 withouth the gui mod - as long as it is not obscured like in the picture, it's okay. But the 1280x768 were still pretty tiny on my screen.

This is a great mod! I just installed the widescreen mod for my BG I install.

However, I set the resolution to 1900x1200. It looks great, but the UI is now tiny.

The highest resolution supported in the gui mod is 1280x800.

How do I switch the game resolution using the widescreen mod? Do I reinstall it?

uberflip85: Sorry if I am repeating any previous posts but I'm having difficulty with the widescreen install...

I'm having this exact same error, but I can't figure out what's wrong. I'm using v3.06 of the "gibberlings" Windows patch and I've tried using 1024x768 and 1280x720 resolutions, but they both fail. Is there another way to fix the resolution for BG1?
