I am playing the BG trilogy mod, which supposedly connects together BG1 and BG2 into one big game, allowing your decisions and actions to carry over from one game to the next.

If I don't save Viconia in BG1, will she be available in BG2? (she shouldn't if trilogy works as advertised)
If I save Viconia's life in BG1 but do not recruit her into my party, will she be found in her normal spot in BG2?
If I save Viconia's life in BG1, recruit her, and then kick her out of the party, will she be found in her normal spot in BG2?

Heh.
:)

Viconia is one of my favorite characters in the series. Love how the tension in her voice is in direct contrast with Mazzy & Jahiera's.

Yes. This has nothing to do with BGT. This is how the BG2 game is designed. If Jaheira, Imoen and Minsc die in BG1, they are still there in BG2. Resurrection happens in temples, right?

Yes. See above.

Yeah, the status of dead party members isn't preserved, even with BGT.
Thank you.
It does with my version BUT usually only if they were in your party, died and were kicked out.
I recall Viconia didn't show up in Govt district on my first playthrough as I'd sided against her in BG1 though so she remained dead.

Imoen must always show up as that can't be avoided but I've had Minsc unavailable in Irenicus' dungeon too.

So certain scripted events NEED certain characters who can't permanently die (I think Edwin is another), others can.
