Hi,
I'm close to the final battle with Sarevok, and I'm wondering if I can still do everything after this battle. I read that I can load the final save and do the expansion, but can I do everything like in the normal game ? I mean, can I go back to Baldur's Gate and complete all the side quests ? If I can, how's the Flaming Fist towards me ? Are they still aggressive ?
Thanks !

You cannot do anything *after* the battle with Sarevok. Once he is dead, the game finishes abruptly. The final save is created just before you enter the temple to confront him, and there is no way out once you enter, so if you still have stuff to do, it is not worth ploughing through the undercity. You may as well finish the expansion and all side quests first. Bottom line: leave the Sarevok Battle 'til last. Of course, you don't *have* to, but it makes sense to.
If you're playing BGT, this isn't true. After you beat Sarevok, you're left at the battleground and are given a short quest to return to the city and talk to someone, which quickly brings you into BG2. If you want, you can do the expansion content before talking to the NPC. You might find it a bit easy after the Sarevok fight, though...

Otherwise, what Hickory said is true: the game does make a final save, but it's just before you defeat Sarevok, and it'll reload to there.
I see, thanks for the 2 answers.
