Gut feeling is "enhanced" = a more polished version of the more popular mods and tweaks that exist (plus another area and companion NPC or whatever, which exist in spades in the fan community), with updated BG1 UI.

It's a great business move. Judging by fan reactions that I've seen, many are willing to throw $20-30 at Beamdog for what very well may amount to things that have existed in the modding community for free for years.

As somebody else has brought up, it's also a great way for Beamdog to get their download/DRM client on a lot more machines.

I'm hoping the mod community stays active with the pre-Beamdog games, and will attempt to emulate some of the changes with mods if they're good/interesting, because if my gut feeling is right I'll probably end up passing.
Screenshots of the EE are coming next week. I think they should have given us at least a few already...

Well all can say is if you have BG1 and BG2 plus expansions, you have about 500 hours of gameplay. Even if Overhaul add 20 hours of new content, that's still only 2%!

So I stillsay BG1 an BG2 plus Tutu is where it's at!
Thing is, that "new content" could just be some of the unfinished game content that modders completed.

Either way I'm not as excited anymore. Unless this EE includes BG1+2+expansions and remade altogether at once in to one super game, this EE isn't going to be worth it imo.

And I just hope this remake doesn't move it away from 2D scenes and sprite-play.
My concern is that this might take the real thing away from GoG. Sure hope not!
will it still be 2nd edition rules?please don't change it to 4th edition!
Follow this guy on Twitter https://twitter.com/#!/TrentOster He says it's 2nd edition: "#bgee is 2nd Edition D&D. Our first rule is don't break the fun. Part of the appeal of BG was the depth of the rules system"
