Saw the BG Enhanced Edition on sale recently and was a finger-click away from buying it... but then realized my parents might have my original BG disc and I could just get download upgrades/mods.


Checked and learned that they dumped all of the old discs! Booo! Looks like I'm stuck waiting until BG or BG:EE comes back around on the sale train...

If anyone has an extra gift lying around I'd love to trade... though admittedly I only have a handful of gog games

If you would prefer the original versions of the games instead of the Enhanced Editions, you can get those here too. They've been around a lot longer, and they tend to go on much deeper sales, to the tune of about 80% off every time there's a big seasonal sale.

Not to mention that their normal full price is equal to a 50% sale on the Enhanced Editions.

Thanks for the tip NotJabba... I was worried that because the original was such a huge classic that it wouldn't (or would very rarely) go on sale. I guess I'll have to keep an eye out

D&D-based games (and pretty much everything from WotC) is on sale basically every Christmas. Not sure about the other months.

Also I always find it annoying to get the old games to run on new operating system, when I buy on GoG I can just double click and it works, so I usually buy on GoG even if I still have the original CDs. =p

Original BG is soooo much better, and I'm not saying that for nostalgia's sake, as I played it for the first time two years ago I believe.
