It's driving me crazy how long you have to hover over something for it's description to pop up, and i have to constantly right-click on spells to remember what they are... are advice on this?

Just use the tab key to display the hint...

Alter the tooltip delay in your baldur.ini. Look for Tooltips=xx The default is 60. Change it to something like 30. But be aware that if you have timers altered, so will the tooltips and EVERYTHING else in the game.

Inside "options" there is a slider which reads something like "tooltip delay". If you scroll it all to the left, you won't have delay at all. I recommend the second most "lefted" option.
