I am trying to figure out if the innate haste effect on the polymorph self forms (i.e. haste on bears, wolf, ogre, etc) in my current game was either introduced by some mods I installed, or was it in the vanilla game?

Spider (yes) but Wolf & Bears (no)... Have you perhaps got SCS faster bears installed?

Yes I had faster bear installed from SCSII, however I still got the haste effect after I uninstalled the faster bear component, on top of that the haste effect was also present for other forms like ogre, wolf, flint and mustard jelly.
