From what I've read he's one of two bonus merchants that came with special copies of the game. I've already found the other, Deidre, in the Adventurer's Mart right where she's supposed to be, but Joluv is missing from his spot in the Copper Coronet. I even downloaded a patch or two that are supposed to give the bonus merchants in non-special editions to see if it would make any difference, but still nada.

Can anyone please direct me as to how I can get him? I just want to buy the Sling of Everard +5.

Just double checking: did you talk to everyone in the Copper Coronet? He looks like a commoner, so can be tough to spot.

I think I recall that he runs outside if fighting breaks out inside, so check outside by the doorway if there's been any fighting in there.
I'd heard that as well, but I've talked with just about everyone I could find both inside and out.

I also looked according to his appearance from others' screenshots of him (a guy wearing a green hat with a red feather on top), but no luck.

Weird. The only thing I can think of is to either use the console to spawn him in (not sure what that would do to your game if he's actually already there somewhere) or just spawn in the item you want to buy from him.
If you've added the patch to enable him, then he should be standing on the right side of the Coronet, in the center area next to one of the tables. He's almost exactly between where Yoshimo stands, and where Anomen stands. However, he has a tendency to run off if there's combat, and he sometimes never gets back to where he should be. If you really cant find him, just open up the console and type:

CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("wmart1")

and press enter, and he should appear. If there's actually an issue with your area file, you'll need to do this in every game. The character, the store, and the dialog are all in the base game, so this method will work regardless of what patches&mods you've applied.

It won't hurt to have two Joluvs, but they may end up standing right next to each other. They share the same store, so you won't lose any items or get any extra items; everything you sell to one will be available at the other.

Are you using any mods? If by any chance you have Item Revisions, they remove him according to this post.

If not, maybe another mod in the same vein?

I'm assuming you put the patched files in the override folder of Baldur's Gate 2. Other than that it should be working.
I can't speak for the GoG version, but unless you had a special release way back when (he was a "bonus" for that release only) or you use the BG2 Tweaks mod (Bonus Merchants component) they're not in the game.

If you install the component, you can CLUA him in anywhere as he won't show up on his own as you've entered the Copper Coronet.

Seems to have worked just fine. Spawned him, bought the sling, and tested it. With its infinite ammo I now don't have to worry about constantly having to hoard bullets.

Thanks everyone for the help!

Thanks a lot for this bevinator :))

Joluv was nowhere to be seen in my game, yet Deidre was there. He must have buggered off during the initial fight in the Coronet. Just remember you need to put in debut and cheats mode in the baldur.ini file, or this won't work.

Now he's back, and I've picked up the +5 sling and +3 Easthaven Flail. It's odd to be broke again, but those look like mighty fine weapons.
